GASO OIL DONATES COMPUTERS to HUNI-VALLEY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL


 GASO Oil, a company working with Goldfields Ghana limited has put smiles on the faces of staff and students of Huni-valley senior high school by donating 10 desktop computers to improve the teaching and learning of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in the school.



At a short ceremony to present the computers to the school, the Chief Executive officer (CEO) for Gaso Oil, Mr Isaac Asante, said the gesture formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to give back to the Community they operate.



He futher added that, the donation is to encourage the teaching and learning of ICT in the school.



Mr Daniel Baidoo, headmaster of the school thanks the company for the kind gesture. He called on Goldfields and other sub-contractors under Goldfields to come to their aid to help support the school.


"Goldfields and government alone cannot shoulder all these responsibilities they need the biblical helpmate to help cushion the school" he added.


The Regional Manager - Sustainable Development Projects & Head of Community Relations for Goldfields Tarkwa Danmang, Mr Abdel Razak Yakubu, took the opportunity to appeal to other institutions to come to the school's aid. He futher added that Goldfields cannot do all and urge all to come on board to help the school.


The SHS coordinator for Prestea Huni-valley, Mr Kenny Amo Baidoo, who spoke on behalf of the Municipal Education Director, Madam Mary Vida Kwofie expressed his profound gratitude to Gaso Oil and Goldfields for the Kind gesture.
