This is contained in the latest report from the Western Region Health Directorate on the pandemic.
According to Health Directorate, the region has now recorded a total of six hundred and twenty-four (624) positive cases of the virus. This indicates an increase of six (6) more cases on the region’s existing six hundred and eighteen (618) cases. The six (6) new cases were recorded from the Shama District.
One person has been confirmed dead with total recoveries in the region standing at ten (10).
The Health Directorate reports that the region has recorded a total of twenty-three (23) suspected cases of the virus in the past twenty-four hours.
However, the Wassa Amenfi East and the Amenfi Central Districts have still not recorded positive cases of corona virus.
